One of the reports I read (and sorry, I don't remember if it was on CNN, BBC, SacBee, IHT, etc.) had one brilliant individual point out that if the TEACHERS had been armed, the gunman would have been brought down right away. 'Cause it ain't fair that only the bad guys have the guns, you see. I say, you know what, why don't they just start handing a gun to every student who comes through the doors of every school. Teachers, janitors, students would all be packing heat. Then if one of them decides he wants to take on the others, its a fair fight.
(and if you can't recognize the sarcasm above, I'll just have to shoot you.)
Grrr...I just got finished having this argument with my girlfriend's father. I don't get it. It's like people are saying, "Okay, we have a problem with guns, so what's the solution? Why, more guns, of course."
