Lost the Porn Star Bloc
Some might find this awesome, but I for one am worried about the loss of porn stars from the liberal coalition. If we lose the porn stars, next we could lose the rockers and the rappers and even the movie stars. We could just wake up one day and be dull.
I for one, will not let this stand. Its time to get in the DNC to bring the sexy back. I will do my part. I am offering to lead a group of DNC staffers and/or board members, or perhaps a group of young rich donors to a local strip club. Someone has to step up and bring the party back to the party.

Nice, Um, "Field"
Next years Louisiana Senate race is an early contender for best campaign ever. The incumbent is David Vitter, who remains on the scene and remains extremely sanctimonious despite getting caught up in the DC Madam scandal. And by "Caught Up" I mean caught with his pants down.
Lining up to challenge him, is Tony Perkin one of the more extreme religious right leaders on the scene today. Gee, I wonder what his issue with Vitter is? God only knows what Perkin's secret kink is.
But wait, there's more. Also considering a run in the race is porn star Stormy Daniels. I'm pretty sure she's more honest than the other two. You vote for a porn star, you get a porn star. You vote for the responsible family man, you get the high patron of hookers.

We all get lonely sometimes
Oh, dear ... it seems everybody is seeking bailout money these days. Even the porn industry.
"People are too depressed to be sexually active," Larry Flynt said in the statement. "This is very unhealthy as a nation. Americans can do without cars and such but they cannot do without sex."

Setback for Porn
The .xxx domain registry has been rejected by something called ICANN, which, it turns out is the enity that approved domains. This is a massive setback for the porn industry. I wonder if they can still stay vialble on the internet.

Porno Tax
Ah the Italian political system, the gift that keeps on giving. The same Country that brought you the porn star serving as an MP now brings you this:
Italy's cash-strapped government has decided to hike taxes on one of the country's few vibrant industries, pornography, to help rein in the burgeoning budget deficit, government sources told Reuters on Tuesday.
The "porno-tax", which imposes an additional levy of 25 percent on all income from pornography, is contained in a package of amendments to the 2006 budget to presented in the Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday or Wednesday, the sources said.
Now, will this tax result in an overall decrease in porn consumption? Or is demand for porn inflexible, thus resulting in increased tax revenue? Why is porn the only vibrant Italian industry? Why not food, suites or sports cars? How is porn defined? Why am I asking serious policy questions about a story I linked to just to amuse and titillate?

Porn!
I am thinking the government's priorities are not in order. FEMA has sent shipments of ice to Maine. The FBI is pulling agents off other types of cases to pursue adult pornography. In other news, I've just slapped my forehead so hard I momentarily lost consciences. What the hell is wrong with these people! Adult Porn! We are going to pull FBI agents off things like terrorism, bank robbery and kidnapping to go chase porn for consenting adults. Have we caught all the terrorists? The hard stuff is done so now we have time to worry about porn?

The annual President's Dinner, a Republican Party fundraising event featuring President Bush, could get an extra dash of spice this year with porn actress and former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey planning to attend.
The porn industry and Republicans may seem like strange bedfellows, but Carey said she sees Tuesday night's dinner as a good opportunity to learn more about their policies and do some networking. She plans to run for lieutenant governor of California as an independent next year.
And my favorite line ever:
