Star Wars

I have completely blown the afternoon and six bucks, but overall I must say it was worth it. The force has a light side and a dark side in balance and Revenge of Sith is perfectly balanced between really great moments and complete groaners. The emotional dud that is the Anakin-Padme romance balances the real emotional punch of the death of the Jedi. Do they really have to stick C3-PO and R2 in every single frichen scene? I know we all like them a lot, but please. It's just kills the continuity of the movies (By the way does anybody know a word for a six movie series - a double trilogy?) On the other hand we have those great lightsaber duel. Those wonderful lightsabers. They would have never made another movie after the first if it wasn't for those lightsabers.

The politics are there. "This is how democracy dies - to thunderous applause" We can debate if its really about Bush or not but really the message is Democracy good, Dictatorship bad.

Helpfull guide for non-nerds here.
Revenge of the Brick.

Just saw it. Definitely a critique of the American government.
