Strangely enough, there are actually people out there who are deciding between McCain and Obama. "Independent" types who apparently don't care a wit about the policy positions of candidates. Character is king. But the problem with character is that it is damn arbitrary. I think that it doesn't speak very well of John McCain that he wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years. I think that statement makes him look stupid. Others say that's him being honest and hard-noised. Character is a funny thing that way.
But given that I want Obama to win and fear John McCain as the most electable of the GOP field, lets hope these fickle independents wander over to the Obama side of the ballot.
