I don't mean to alarm anyone, but there are rather striking parallels between the current, real, election cycle and the fictional race for the Presidency that ended the run of the West Wing. Jamal Simmons lays out a rather alarming case.
I am alarmed. While the Democrat did win the West Wing race, the Vice Presidential nominee died on election day.
